The session is a pause in your busy world, slow, tender, and entirely yours. We move at your baby’s rhythm: quiet cuddles, feeding breaks, tiny yawns, little toes stretching, soft sighs drifting into sleep. Older siblings tumble in and out, laughter and curiosity weaving through the calm, intimate moments of connection. Newborn sessions are best booked during pregnancy, ideally in your second or third trimester. Sessions usually take place within the first 14 days after birth, when babies are still very sleepy and those early details are beautifully fresh. Once your baby arrives, we’ll choose a date that feels right for you.

That’s completely okay. I book a limited number of sessions each month to allow flexibility. Once your baby arrives, simply let me know and we’ll adjust your session date accordingly.

Please don’t worry — newborn sessions are completely baby-led. Feeding, cuddling, nappy changes and soothing are all part of the experience. There is never any rush, and we always work around your baby’s needs.

Your home does not need to be perfect. I’ll guide you beforehand on how to prepare in a simple, stress-free way, focusing on natural light and a few meaningful spaces. A tidy corner and open curtains are more than enough.

Neutral, soft tones photograph beautifully and keep the focus on connection rather than clothing. I’ll send you a gentle styling guide after booking to help you choose outfits that feel comfortable and natural.

Sessions are unhurried and typically last up to 2 hours, allowing plenty of time for feeds, cuddles, and quiet moments without any pressure.

Parents and siblings are always welcome and encouraged. These early connections are an important part of your family’s story.

All of your preferences around image use and sharing are discussed with you beforehand, so nothing is ever assumed. You stay in full control of what feels right for you.
